It's an exciting time for all of our 'lil buccaneers and their pirate families as we return to Pomona for the 2023-2024 school year. As you are working through all of the back-to-school to do lists, please take time to join the Pirate PTO! Your membership is valuable to help us make this year a great one -- with fun family events, classroom and teacher grants, parties with the kids, etc.
School district budgets are always met with new and challenging demands. By filling gaps with private fundraising, such as annual membership dues, community and corporate donations, etc., we are able to help meet the needs of our students, faculty and staff. The Pirate PTO raises funds for the enhancement of Pomona Elementary School student education, including, but not limited to, the purchase of equipment and teaching materials, funding capital improvements, covering the costs of student transportation charges, and providing financial support of activities which promote the school and its students within the community.
Most recently The Pirate PTO concluded a two-year capital campaign (2021-2023) to raise funds for the district to purchase, install and maintain a district-vendor approved running track at Pomona Elementary. The track is currently being used by kids during their outside time and it is a big hit!
Our PTO is parent-powered and you make such a difference. Thank you for all you do to make our community great, Pirates.
