In general, room parents or teachers will communicate in-class room opportunities (which are more frequent in younger grades) directly to other classroom parents.
Complete this form to express your interest in any of the many ways to volunteer with Pirate PTO throughout the school year. This is not a firm commitment that you will participate as a volunteer on a specific date, so don't hesitate to sign up for more than one that sparks your curiosity.
Thought volunteerism is never a requirement for Pirate PTO membership, the gift of your time helps our organization get things done -- whether you choose to participate in committees, at events, during fundraising, preparing documents, etc. The majority of our volunteer needs require less than two hours of your time.
A coordinator will follow up with you at a later date to fill roles that you may be well-suited to throughout the year and as needed. Or view the Event Calendar to see what volunteer opportunities are currently available.
Volunteer Background Check
Alvin ISD requires all volunteers to register and undergo a criminal history background check prior to volunteering on campus. The process is free and takes less than five minutes to complete. If you haven’t already done so, visit this link to register as an Alvin ISD volunteer. Registration forms are available in both English and Spanish.
