• Classes Closed Monday and Tuesday

    Pirate families, Alvin ISD has made the decision to close campuses on Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14 as of the time of posting in an abundance of caution ahead of Tropical Storm Nicholas. 

    Monday after-school extracurricular activities are cancelled. The regularly-scheduled Alvin ISD Board Meeting has not been cancelled. Alvin ISD will continue to provide updates through social media.

    Classes will resume normal operations on Wednesday, September 15.

    Alvin ISD ha tomado la decisión de cerrar los campus el martes 14 de septiembre de 2021. Las clases reanudarán las operaciones normales el miércoles 15 de septiembre de 2021.

    En este momento, nuestra reunión regular de la Junta programada para el martes 14 de septiembre no ha sido cancelada.

  • Classes cancelled for TS Nicholas

    From Alvin ISD 4:30 p.m. September 13, 2021:


    Dear Parents and Staff,

    Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our staff and students, Alvin ISD campuses will be closed on Monday, September 13, 2021 due to Tropical Storm Nicholas. With anticipated flooding, it may not be safe to transport students to and from school. 

    This closure includes all extracurricular activities for Monday, September 13. 


  • Rock the Boat PTO Karaoke Night

    Arrrrrrgggghhhh you ready to rock, Pirates?

    Rock the Boat Karaoke Night - the Pirate PTO's first sponsored event of the 2021-2022 school year - is THIS FRIDAY. Join us at Pomona Elementary from 6 to 8 pm.

    The event is open to everyone and FREE for all active 2021-2022 Pirate PTO Members.  Memberships can be paid at the door or online here

    Pirate PTO is one-third of the way to meeting membership goals for this school year, but you can help us surpass our membership goals by joining today and sharing the info with your school friends. The grade level that has the highest level of participation by the end of Karaoke Night will receive a school pizza party.
