The 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat: A Pirate PTO Halloween Spectacle!

Ahoy there, Pirate families! The Halloween season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with our beloved tradition - the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat sponsored by the Pirate PTO! Mark your calendars and get your costumes ready because this is one event you won’t want to miss.

When and Where? Date: October 27 Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM at Pomona Elementary School.

A Spooky, Safe, and Social Event

The Trunk or Treat event is a cherished alternative to the traditional trick-or-treating, allowing kids and families to gather in a safe and fun environment. Cars are parked with trunks open, displaying festive and spooky decorations, and offering treats to all our little pirates! Not only is it a fantastic way for children to collect candies and goodies, but it also gives parents an opportunity to socialize and show off their creativity.

Candy Donations: Let’s Make It the Best Year Yet!

It’s the generosity of our Pirate community that makes Trunk or Treat a roaring success each year. We're thrilled to announce that candy donations are now being accepted. This is your chance to contribute to the sea of sweets our kids will be diving into. Send your candy in with your children during their morning school drop off - or drop off in the front office. 

A Little Friendly Competition: Pizza Party Alert!

Who doesn't love a little friendly competition? This year, we’re introducing a challenge that's sure to get everyone excited. The grade level that donates the most candy will earn themselves a pizza party! So rally your fellow parents and students, and let's see which grade can claim the title of "Most Generous Ghouls"!

Final Thoughts

The Pirate PTO’s 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat promises an evening filled with joy, laughter, and a whole lot of candies. It's a testament to our community's spirit and unity. So, whether you're there to showcase your car's hauntingly creative trunk, donate candies, or simply have a good time, we can't wait to see you there.

Please make sure to attend Open House this evening at Pomona Elementary School. It is a great time for your little buccaneers to show off their work, for you to get to know their teachers and for the school to show off its many features. Can't wait to see you there.

We know the car rider pickup line can make any good pirate want to walk the plank!  Avoid the painful wait by securing one of five VIP Car Rider Passes through the 5th Annual VIP Car Rider Pass auction.

The auction is one day only, starting August 16, 2023 at 9:00 AM CDT and concluding at 4:00 PM CDT the same day. 

A VIP Car Rider Pass entitles the owner to circumvent the tedious car rider line. VIP vehicles will have a reserved parking spot at the front of the school for dismissal. As in past years, all auction proceeds are used exclusively for Pirate PTO's Teacher Grants.
