The proposed changes to the bylaws are designed to clarify roles, responsibilities and procedures within the PTO, making it easier for members, and non-members alike, to understand how we operate and how they can get involved. Key updates include: 

Roles & Responsibilities: Clarification on board officer responsibilities and the change and addition of a new board role.

  • No Fuss Fundraiser: The Simplest Way to Support Our School

    **The Simplest Way to Help: Our "No-Fuss Fundraiser"**

    Hello, Pirate families! This year, the Pirate PTO is doing something a little different for our big fundraiser, and we're excited to share it with you. It's called the "No-Fuss Fundraiser," and it's the only time we'll ask for your help to support our school's PTO. This means every penny you give goes straight to helping our students and school. And the best part? You don't have to bake, sell, or buy anything!

    Our goal is to make sure every student has their own laptop and the things they need, like headphones and a charging cart, for an entire grade. This way, everyone can learn with the best tools. Whether you can give $10 instead of buying cupcakes for a sale, or $100 because you're too busy for more tasks, your donation is a big help.

    To join in, just choose how much you'd like to give and send it to us by March 1, 2024. Download the form sent home with students here. You can write a check to "Pirate PTO" or use Venmo @Pomona-PTO. Every little bit helps us get closer to our goal, and we're so thankful for your support. Remember, this is our only PTO fundraiser this year, so let's make it count. Thank you for helping make our school a great place for learning, without any extra fuss!

  • Tonight is the 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat

    Hello Pirate PTO Families! ☠️🎉

    Tonight's the night for our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat! 🚗🍬

    🕠 Please join us starting at 5:30 pm, but we kindly ask that you wait to stroll between the cars until then, as setup will still be underway. The fun continues until 7:00 pm or when the candy runs out.

    👗🎩 Whether you're in costume or coming as you are, you're in for a treat! Be prepared to be amazed by the creativity of our school community and dedicated volunteers.

    🎵 With a DJ on board, we're all set for a night of great music and dancing.

    A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to make this evening special for our kids and the community.

    So, hoist up the Jolly Roger, grab some candy, and let's party like a pirate until the stars shine! 🌌🍭🕺
